Guacamole is a dip made with avocados. Since avocados are loaded with vitamins, minerals, fiber and healthy fats it is an excellent food choice to snack on. Avocados have also more protein then any other fruit. A good guacamole dip should be made simple, using fresh ingredients and ripe avocados. I have added yogurt to this recipe, it makes the dip creamier which compliments the avocados. This dip goes well with raw organic veggies, organic GF corn chips or freshly made nachos Yum!

Barbecued Ribs The Healthy Way

I have always hesitated making ribs because of all the fats, sugars and additives that most recipes have. I wanted to create a recipe that is a healthier option to the traditional barbecued ribs, so I have boiled the ribs first to get rid of some of the fat, which also tenderizes the ribs. For the sauce, it is made from fresh ingredients, instead of sugar I have used maple syrup, which also gives it a nicer flavour and the zest of an orange adds pizazz to the ribs. This recipe is truly different from most and by cutting down on sugars and fats it is a healthier option. Now your family can enjoy a healthier version of barbecued ribs.
